American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED & First Aid teaches participants how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively. The course is based on the latest science-based guidance from the American Heart Association.
What does this course teach?
Heartsaver CPR AED covers essential lifesaving skills, including:
- Recognizing the signs of a heart attack or stroke
- Adult CPR and AED use
- Choking relief for adults, children, and infants
- Drowning prevention and response
- Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies
- Optional modules in Child CPR AED and Infant CPR
